You have heard a lot about reducing the intake of added sugars, salt and fats in the diet but not sure what exactly all this means? Mandy Armentor, MS, RD, LDN and Area Nutrition Agent for the LSU AgCenter in Vermilion Parish will help you to navigate what are added sugars, salt and fat in the diet and give you tips on how to reduce your intake of them to help you achieve healthy eating and maybe even weight loss. You will learn how to read the Nutrition Facts Label or look for claims on food products to help you make a healthy choice.
Part 1 of this program will be held on Monday, March 19, 2018 at 6:00 pm at the Abbeville Library. The program will last about 1 hour to 1 hour and 15 minutes. Participants will receive all the information presented.
