You may have heard about 3D Printing, but have you experienced it in action? The Vermilion Parish Library system’s first 3D printing is now installed and ready to be used. The printer, which uses plastic filament to build objects layer by layer, can print cell phone protective cases, model airplanes, or just about anything you can think of.
The Abbeville Library will be hosting a 3D Printing demonstration on Tuesday, June 5, 2018, from 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm in the Makerspace room. You can learn about what 3D printing is, what its uses are, and how you can make your own 3D printed model. You will also learn the ins and outs of the library’s 3D printer, the Makerbot Z18 3D printer.
This program is open to anyone.
