Board President, John LeBlanc, called the Vermilion Parish Library Board of Control public meeting to order on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at the Abbeville Library at 5:10PM. The following members were present: Bridget Winters, JB Moreno, John LeBlanc, Margaret Hebert, Shane Meaux, Yolanda Broussard, and Geneva Nunez. Board Member Melanie Hensgens was absent. Also present was Dawn Hebert, Library Director, Amy Stelly, Human Resources Manager, and Grant Domingue. The prayer was led by Margaret Hebert. The pledge was led by John LeBlanc. Amy Stelly called the roll.
There were no public comments on any agenda item.
On the motion of Shane Meaux, seconded by Bridget Winters, and carried the board unanimously voted to dispense with the reading of and to unanimously accept the meeting minutes.

On the motion of Shane Meaux seconded by Yolanda Broussard and carried the board unanimously voted to approve the financial report including a budget to actual comparison as presented by Amy Stelly.

On the motion of Yolonda Broussard seconded by Shane Meaux and carried the board unanimously voted to amend the agenda to add the closure of the Abbeville Branch Library for the November 3, 2026, election and to move the regular scheduled board meeting from Tuesday, November 3, 2026.
