Secretary, Charlotte Trosclair called the Vermilion Parish Public Library Board of Control meeting to order on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at the Gueydan Library at 5:00PM. The following members were present: Jane Barras, Mayor Wayne Theriot, Betty Girouard, Jason Connor and Anita Levy.
Absent: Melanie Hensgens, Leon Broussard, Police Jury ex-officio member and Yolanda Broussard
Guest were: Charlotte Trosclair, director, Amy Stelly, business manager, Angela Touchet, branch manager, R. Brady Broussard, Jr., Ray Barras and Gene Sellers, Jr.
Prayer and Pledge of Allegiance were led by Ms. Charlotte Trosclair.
Ms. Charlotte Trosclair presented R. Brady Broussard, Jr. a plaque on behalf of the Vermilion Parish Library Board of Control in appreciation for his years of service.
Ms. Charlotte Trosclair opened the floor for nominations for President. Mrs. Jane Barras nominated Mrs. Betty Girouard for President. Mayor Wayne Theriot seconded the nomination. There being no other nominations, Mrs. Betty Girouard was elected President for 2019. There were no public comments
