Board of Control

July 8, 2020

Board President, Betty Girouard called the Vermilion Parish Public Library Board of Control meeting to order on Wednesday, July 8, 2020 via Zoom teleconference at 5:02 PM. The following members were present by roll call by Amy Stelly: Jane Barras, Anita Levy, Betty Girouard, Jason Connor, Yolanda Broussard, and Paul Bourgeois, Jr. ex-officio member.

Absent:  Melanie Hensgens, Bridget Winters

Guests were: Charlotte Bourg, Director, Amy Stelly, Business Manager, and Grant Domingue, Tech Support.

Prayer:  Paul Bourgeois

Pledge:  Yolanda Broussard

The floor was opened up for any agenda item from the audience.   There were no public comments.

Old Business

On the motion of  Jason Connor and seconded by Yolanda Broussard the minutes for the last meeting, February 4, 2020 were approved.

YEAS: Jane Barras, Anita Levy, Betty Girouard, Jason Connor, Yolanda Broussard, and Paul Bourgeois

NAYS: None

ABSTAINED: None

ABSENT: Melanie Hensgens, Bridget Winters

New Business

On the motion of Jason Connor and seconded by Yolanda Broussard the Resolution to approve the 2020 millage rates were approved.

YEAS: Jane Barras, Anita Levy, Betty Girouard, Jason Connor, Yolanda Broussard, and Paul Bourgeois

NAYS: None

ABSTAINED: None

ABSENT:  Melanie Hensgens, Bridget Winters

There being no further business and upon motion of Anita Levy and seconded by Paul Bourgeois the meeting was adjourned.
